The listing also hinted at key specifications of the handset, which states that it will include the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. The phone has been leaked before and it is being said that it will be launched in September. The Galaxy F42 5G was recently spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking website with the same specifications. The Google Play Console listing suggests that the Samsung F42 5G may launch as the Samsung Galaxy Wide 5 in some markets.

Tipster Technical leaked screenshots from Google Play Console showing Galaxy F42 5G has been listed. The listing also mentions the moniker Samsung Galaxy Wide 5, which indicates that the phone may be launched in certain markets. The listing suggests that the Galaxy F42 5G could sport a full-HD+ display with 1,080×2009 pixels resolution and 459ppi pixel density. It can be equipped with Android 11 and MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. The processor is likely to be paired with 6GB of RAM and ARM Mali G57 GPU. The Samsung Galaxy F42 5G is tipped to come with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and the tipster claims that the phone may launch soon.
